According to the Deputy Minister, alongside preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, Vietnamese students must be equipped with foreign language proficiency and digital skills to access modern knowledge, adapt to international learning and working environments, and actively engage in global integration.

📌 Notably, Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo sets a clear direction to enhance students’ foreign language capacity, with the long-term goal of positioning English as a second language in schools, laying a solid foundation for international integration and sustainable digital transformation in education.

📌 The Deputy Minister also called for strengthening the “Triple Helix” collaboration model (Government – Schools – Enterprises) to:

• Support innovation in foreign language teaching and learning
   
• Mobilize social resources for education development
   
• Expand international cooperation in education and educational technology

The Speak Up 2025 competition was highlighted as a typical and effective model, helping students develop foreign language proficiency, critical thinking skills, and confidence in international communication, thereby contributing to the realization of Vietnam’s education integration goals in the context of rapid digital transformation.
